Shake your head. She did a fine job given with what she got. Rather her then Bernier.
My experience with her is personal, and goes back farther than the last election.
My MP used to be Joe Clark, back in the day. Whenever there was a community event - parade, dance, whatever - he was there. He was talking to people, shaking hands, listening. During elections, he was at every debate he was invited to. He spoke to schools and in old folks homes.
Slowly we've had a parade of Conservativeish MPs, mostly lame. Brent Rathburger was an exception, but Rona Ambrose was pretty much an absentee MP.
She didn't attend functions, unless they were invite only party functions. During elections, she refused to attend debates. And one time, when I happened to run into her at a public function, she was rude, dismissive and aloof.
So when I applaud the fact the bitch is leaving politics, it goes a lot deeper than just the last 2 years where she's been higher profile.
