Kinda reminds me of this...
$1:
Dunking is a form of torture and punishment that was applied to scolds and supposed witches.

In a trial by ordeal, supposed witches were immersed into a vat of water or pond, and taken out after some time, thus and given the opportunity to confess. This process was usually repeated until the victim drowned or gave up and confessed, leading to them being executed in another way, usually hanging or, more rarely, burning. Also, if they had their hands/feet tied, they would be left under water. If they floated they were guilty of witchcraft, if they sank they were innocent but would have usually drowned anyway.

Confess or not, you're screwed either way. 8O

Wait, the actual killer (male) was only in prison for three years before being released? Than the wife who allegedly they say played a role in the murder was going to be executed by stoning? Wow, such prejiduce against women.

The contemporary treatment is called waterboarding. It was used by the Gestapo, the NKVD/KGB, and the Khmer Rouge to extract false confessions. Therefore it's evil, because bad guys used it. Except when Dick Cheney said it was OK for the US to employ during interrogations. Which makes it OK because all those confessions extracted were 100% true. Because we're the good guys. And that's just because we're always good. Endut! Hoch hech!

This is fucking bullshit man, Seriously I have nothing but hate and contempt for the people in charge of that hole. I would agree with nuking the fucktards but knowing a lot if not the majority of people are against the mullah style of govt and don't agree with this kind of bullshit as well.

I'm just praying that soon they ordinary people will gain enough power to rise and put up a strong opposition to the govt and overthrow them and free the country. Its not impossible it happened 30 years ago and it darn time it happened again.

The clergy, even your run of the mill village mullah aren't very well thought of by most Iranians. The next revolution will likely result in a avery secular regime taking power...then again, The Shah, Nasser, Hussein and Assad all ran extremely secular regimes.

They need to ensure(perhaps enshrine it in a new constitution) that religion stays in the mosques and out of politics. And, hopefully over the long term, they'll be more successful than the Turks...who are having their 'secular' society being slowly eroded away by religious extremists. Which reminds me, Excuse me Generals, don't you have a duty to perform, namely the overthrow of the Islamist government in Ankara. If not you will have betrayed the legacy of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Yes, I've talked with some Iranians who are opposed to the govt and even taken part in the recent uprisings after the sham elections, and they all have similar views. Iran might be very well ripe for a secular and democratic system in the region not if but when they manage to overthrow the current system. As they have seen the last two systems broke and don't work.

But yet, Omar Khadar gets no such consideration from you, does he Ken?

At least you could be consistent.

And yet the guy who took Khadar's 'confession' is known to torture confessions from his interviewees.
