I think M-16/AR-15s should be prohibited too, but for now, the government has them only as restricted weapons.

Don't get me wrong, there are times when I'd love to have a 'cool' assault rifle (like a G-36), but it's a want, not a need.



If I want to go shooting, a hunting rifle is all I really need.

You can legally own an AR-15 style rifle, it's the same paperwork and hoops as owning a handgun.
