DrCaleb DrCaleb:

First off, the study acknowledges that there was no observed wolf population on the island prior to the 1940's - which were during a cold climate trend that even global warming alarmists acknowledge. There's no mention of wolves ever being eradicated on the island prior to that time, okay?

Let's start there, shall we?

Too bad the data stream forces us to do that, because something really interesting happened in the 30s. It got hot - hot as it got in the early 2000s, I think. Then it got cold. So we have to consider the possibility that whatever is happening now, happened before, and not too long ago.

Not too long ago, but before Fat Al and the Suzuki-man convinced us too get hysterical with predictions of fantasy boiling, bubbling lakes and oceans, and 'OMG we're all gonna die, pardon us while we purchase these million dollar beach houses'.

Once does not make a pattern but once is sufficient to disprove claims of any other pattern.

Mmmmmm, no. 'One' is an anomaly in the data.

Reminds me of a pretty accomplished jihadi who was credited with over thirty successful attacks.

I shot him once.

It was sufficient to disprove his notions of a successful pattern.

LOL, creationist science.

Interesting that the ice coverage on the Great Lakes right now is the third highest level of ice coverage since record keeping started.

Temperature is only part of the equation that results in ice, when it comes to Lake Superior. Wind and wind direction play a bigger roll. A few weeks ago Friday at Grand Marias, MN there was ice out as far as the eye could see. Sunday no ice as far as the eye can see. Lows were still in the -30C as well.
