I doubt there is little Prussian culture left in Konigsburg anyway :(

No there isn't. One of the many effects of WWII was to push back the boundaries of where Germans and German descendants lived in Europe.

11 - 17 million Germans were displaced when the borders of Poland were redrawn further westward, after 1945, to compensate the Poles for their territorial losses to Russia. What had been German territory for centuries(most since being incorporated into the Holy Roman Empire in the mid to late 12th century), was given over to the Poles and the German inhabitants were forcibly relocated(turnabout is fair play).

In fact the land that Poland was allocated was more than originally intended. Due to an error in cartography (rivers with the same name...Neisse I believe) the new western Polish border was drawn further west than had been intended.

** edit - I replaced the term 'cartographical error' with 'an error in cartography' because I'm not sure cartographical is a real adjective.

Eisensapper Eisensapper:
Its A LOT more complicated than that....

I know it is a lot more complicated than that. World war 1 ended with treaty of versailles . German owned large sums of debt which it could not possibly repay. Hitler refused to pay and the rest of the world agreed to cut the money it owed. Then Hitler through propaganda Got the axis people to believe they were better than others but was really a way to try to enslave other ethnic groups so his followers could become lords and own the land and have other ethnic groups become surfs or slaves. He was into world domination and the lack of other countries leaders to threaten war or go to war at an early stage let him to believe they were weak and could could gain more territory for himself and his followers.
So basically he was greedy and a psycho to boot. Not every one has a greed to that level and only world leaders in government or business can pursue it. If Great Britain or the other allies after world war 1 were not so greedy with the treaty after the war Hitler would have never gotten the great chance he did to take over power.
Wars for territory have been going on for 1000s of years. A few top greedy people to control everyone.
Romans , Persians, Ottomans , Great Britian ,France, Russia and now China today.

Wasn't the Soviets on the Allies side? Fighting the Nazi's? The Soviets had a hard time fighting the Nazi's and got pushed back a lot. So the Soviets would have been better at defeating the nazi's only if the west signed some piece of paper? Makes sense.

You might consider reading some history regarding the German-Russian
pact that preceded WWII...or maybe just let adults comment here.

Or maybe instead of acting like a asshole, maybe you could have just educated me and resist opening your big mouth?

In my opinion World War 2 really started in 1932, when Japan invaded Manchuria. there were too many wheels in motion to stop the war, all 2 million soviet troops on the polish border would have done is bring open conflict between the Nazis and the Soviets much sooner.
