I sang the national anthem every day when I went to school in Halifax. Back then nobody whined about "religious freedom". We were all proud to be Canadian.
To my knowledge not once was there a complaint about it.
Same as when I was in elementary in Winnipeg,
We also said the lords prayer (gasp in public school)
And listened to God Save The Queen at the end of every day.
No complaints that I ever heard.
