So what? There's nothing in the world wrong with being a nationalist.

Most Mexicans are ardent nationalists regardless of party. Frankly, outside of Europe and North America nationalism is quite the accepted norm. Only in the West do we have to deal with people who think that patriotism and love of country are somehow wrong.

I'd say a fair number of the people who are active in islamic fundamentalist parties are not precisely into it of their own free will but instead are into it because of religious, family, tribal, or other compelling reasons. Take them out of that envirnoment and it's safe to say that a fair percentage would be pretty decent folks.
