Look at the chart - on the right-hand side. Follow the price of gas now (133.9) to the left until the crude price is around 133.9 - somewhere around March. Notice that gas prices were 14 - 17 cents/litre LOWER back then!

Bastards!

HAHA. Suck it up, Toronto.
Welcome to the rest of Canada.

Oh yeah.. Remember to vote Liberal so you can add more tax on top of that too.

I live on Vancouver Island, and gas just dropped below 1.40 last week an we currently sit at 1.389, so if your gas just jumped 13 cents and you still pay less than me than I have no sympathy.

We just dropped yesterday to 134.9 but then, we don't have a transit tax......yet and like you I have no sympathy for them either.

Hurricane Ike, and slowing down their production(for obvious reasons) is the latest round of excuses from big oil.

Maybe if the came out and told the truth, about losing their shirts in the sub prime market and trying to recoup it off the backs of the population, people wouldn't be so pissed at them. ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

looks good on you  TO had the lowest gas prices in the country as of yesterday thats why the biggest increase is to follow.

Refineries have yet to restart because of Gustov and now with Ike it could be a while longer...direct supply effect.

vote Liberal that will lower the price

All party leaders agree the oil companies are gouging the public... one thing you can do it not buy from the big 3.. esso, shell and petro canada.. and dont buy anything from their stores or kiosks.

Texas refineries have not been running since Gustov hence the wholesale price jump of gas. It has nothing to do with the price of a bbl of the thick stuff.

You make some pretty big generalizations here.

Hi, my name is kitty and i am not all of Ontario. i never made such claims of being soooo green. i am grateful that i live in Toronto and in case you didn't notice, i did not complain about the gas price, i remarked on the long line up at the pump.

By the way, your  is really annoying. i am glad that at least you are amusing yourself.
