These people actually believe only what their 'sense' tells them, anything a scientist says is a conspiracy meant to keep them docile. It's an excellent example of how people don't put any stock in the things the rest of know to be true, like the Earth is round, television isn't 'magic', Lemmings really don't jump off cliffs and Global Warming is real.
I'm constantly fascinated by people who will believe in all the incredible things Science has given us, but reject things because they just don't 'feel' it 'makes sense' to them.
