Phil Fontaine is an idiot...Ya unfortunately, Simon is Anishnabe (Ojibwe)....he shouldnt be playing in the NHL.

It's obviously just a genuine mistake from Campbell. Hell, Simon had alcohol problems before and gets behaviorial help from the same guys that also help those with alcohol and drug problems... it's not like there wasn't any basis off which Campbell could have made that claim. He didn't pull it out of his ass, he just made a honest mistake.

Ridiculous just how easily riled some people can be. And heck, Chris Simon is 1/32th native? So what? Then he must be like 31/32th (or close to it, whatever!) white and yet I don't see any white supremacist group demanding apologies because mistakenly claiming Simon is an alcoholic gives a bad image of white people.
