Zipperfish Zipperfish: First off, for me, it's not so much her education, so much as her silver spoon upbringing for May. I don't even have much against that--great for her--but I just don't think she has much of a grasp of the reality that most ordinary Canadians live in. That's kind of a narrow, biggoted view. On the flipside, "silver spooners" have a lot more resources invested in the country than most. Maybe they should have the most say because they have the most to gain/lose.

Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: I don't object to this. I hate May. Delusional, whiny, and virtually idiotic. She sure has the young vote though. When you have no chance of winning, you can promise whatever crazy shit you want. Most people in your demographic, Mr. Canada, aren't as politically savy as yourself. They see the word "Green" and think "It's good/cool to be an environmentalist, therefore, I support the Green party". I'd be surprised if even 1 in 100 self-proclaimed Greens even have a clue about the Green Party platform, which is essentially NDP taxation levels x 100.

I have a friend who is a member, and they tell me that most think the Party is a one trick pony and simply join because it sounds good. Most don't have any clue about their overall platform (ie that they support the Afghanistan mission).

Boy, a racist yesterday, and a bigot today. I'm on a roll! The rule in a democarcy is general "one person, one vote" not, as you insinuate here, "one dollar, one vote." Has it occurred to you that perhaps there are more things to gain or lose besides money? Probably not.
