Oh, absolutely. I don't want to sit on a plastic bus seat in the summer that a fat naked broad just sat on. Of course hygiene should be considered, and most restaurants already have no shoes, no shirt no service rules. But just walking down the street, if that is their desire, let em go for it. Not many women will anyway, not do most men.
But the ones that do, I don't want to see! Well, I don't get a kick out of seeing guys sagging and dragging either. Or when those really low cut jeans were popular and every skanky girl had tho show off her muffin tops. As Bart said, I'd rather see a fat old woman with her tits bouncing off her knees than a woman in a burka. (Actually saw one the other day in Vancouver, it's quite the shock).

BartSimpson BartSimpson: I'd rather see women free go topless than be forced to wear a burka. Agreed. The operative idea here being "forced to." Women going topless should be a choice and if some woman, for her own reason, decides to wear a burka, it's her decision. What upsets me is a woman being forced to do it because her dad, brother, husband or just her society makes her wear it. Same with nudity. If we force a woman to wear a top because some segment of society (say young men) don't like the shape her breasts are in, then that is similar to forcing women to wear a burka. Next step is forcing women who have cellulite to wear long pants. If ya don't like it, don't look.

Yogi Yogi: No reason at all that 'this' shouldn't be allowed! To quote myself: "If you don't like it don't look." Where do you, or myself, or anyone get off deciding what is "good to look at" and what is not?

'Guys' like to look at good looking, firm, trim female bodies. But if my above post is the 'trade-off', then I would just as soon leave things as they are 'and wonder'!

Damn I miss Maine! But seriously why not equal rights for men and women? Men are allowed to take thier tops off in public, why not women?I remember being 18 stationed in Europe.I went to Amsterdam for a week.Every day I would go to Zanforth beach on the train. The main beach was topless{as most beaches in Europe are}the other beach was nude.Nudity was not a big issue for the Europeans. It was only us Americans that were acting like a kid in a candystore.I have been taking my daughter to Dutch beaches in the Carribean since she was four. She has grown up going to topless beaches. She was not topless but she would make friends and play with Dutch kids that were.Topless women are not going to shock her.I think the Europeans are way ahead of North Americans on this issue.

Brenda Brenda: But shop topless? I mean, who would want to make that socially acceptable for ANYONE?? It shouldn't be, no shirt no shoes no service is the standard (for men and women) and should be adhered to.
