Certainly been my experience. But I've had some good female bosses, just some really bad ones too.

I haven't had many female bosses and aside from one they were all bitches. So my personal experience makes me prefer a male boss cause if he is an ass I have no problem calling him an ass to his face.

I've had way more male bosses, and some were real dick heads. But they were mostly just more straight ahead to deal with - with women,as usual, it's way more complicated.

But to be fair, when I think back, my best boss of all time was a woman. Very supportive and straightforward to deal with, no games.

I've been fired by both so I can honestly say that they all suck relatively equally. The only difference is that the males are more up-front and less political while the females are more behind-the-scenes and conniving. I prefer the former as it doesn't leave me with as much of a sense of being stabbed in the back.

I prefer a male boss. If I wanted a female boss, I'd get married. Besides, male bosses have less hidden agendas than females, and don't have a freakin hairy canary once per month. The workplace is already a wee stressful.

In my part time job experience I prefer female bosses much more.

I love seeing a woman in a position of power. It just gives me a sense that the world is balancing out...

But yeah...like right now I have a male Manager, and female assistant manager. My manager is sooo awkward and is not straight forward whatsover. My assistnat manager is so easy going and I get along with her super well.

The great news is our manager is getting transferred to another dept. so our assistant manager has applied to become manager, and its very likely she will get the job, and then she'll be my boss! =)

Same here. I've had 3 of each and they were both 2 and 1. Two good ones and one loser.

Overall, I prefer working with men than women (they don't generally talk so damned much, and don't pester me to go get my nails done or streaks put in my hair :? ), but I don't really care who's wearing the white hard hat.

I've had both, through a few jobs, and I definitely prefer a male boss. MUCH easier to deal with and understand and are much more appreciative of the work you do.
