The problem is that Christmas is two different holidays with the same name. It's a holy day for most Christians and it's a celebration of family for secularists and other non Christian groups that partake of the festive time. Some people celebrate one aspect of it and some celebrate both
It's also a whole lot of other things to a whole lot of other people who aren't Christian. Interesting that they chose to use the word "yuletide", but there is no mention of the fact that Yule is probably never been celebrated at all at this school. Where are all the pagans up in arms about removing Yule from Yuletide? How come the Christians are the only ones complaining?
