They've had 26 of these meetings, so if this is the first one they actually do anything, then 25 of them were wastes of time.
Some countries/states/provinces have implemented changes, but then you get a conservative government elected and they roll back any progress that was made by previous governments (like Kenney killing the carbon levy).
Still, you're not wrong that these are often more for PR than actual policy changes.
I should give Europe credit. They actually have reduced their carbon emissions 40% from 1990 levels, and the UK has reduced 45% from those levels.
Totally collapsing their economies in the process. /s

It's North American governments, and Eurasian governments that shat themselves.
