This is going to be an interesting rule for the playoffs. During a regular league game is one thing, but in game 7 of the final and your team is down by 1 and your star player gets a puck bounced of his face. And just because he put his glove to his face he has to leave the game and go to the quiet room. The NHL needs to work on this a bit.

I thought it was more than a puck to his face. I'm pretty sure he did a face plant on the ice when he went down.

Yeah your right, and he wasn't playing in a game 7 either (long ways from that happening). I was just making up a scenario of what this rule could come down to in a game 7. One of the signs the spotters are looking for is touching your head or face after it being hit, you do that and you sit down.

Their going to have to be like baseball players and not touch where you just got hit with a 99 mph fastball.
