Yeah, almost all there products are toxic. So many complaints and I wonder how many deaths from there products. The Chinese obviously doesn't give a shit because they haven't done anything about it so just ban all Chinese products and either use Canadian ones who are higher price for a reason. Because they won't fucking kill you or another source who isn't so bloody cheap or pressure China through the ban to start valueing there trade with the western world and actually make there products safe before they start shipping them.

I am really suprised the Canadian Government hasn't taken action yet, seriously if I was in charge of health safety in Canada. I would call for a valuation of all Chinese Products for health risks and demand the Chinese Government and there Buisness's start checking there products before they ship them or they risk a ban of there products from entering Canada.

We don't need to ban anything. We just need to be more conscientious consumers. We have the power to keep Chinese junk out of our homes just as we have the power to keep Canadian-made junk out of our homes. Stop buying this shit and the companies selling it won't stock it!

I wonder if this crap was sold at a retail outlet or did it somehow only end up in the hands of the construction industry?

All of you complainers should check your RRSPs/stock portfolios and see if any of them have stocks in companies that offshore production/jobs in China. If they do, then you are indirectly benefiting from that relationship, so you really have no right to bitch.

Given that most multi-nationals do in some fashion, odds are all of you are partly responsible for this problem. Or, if bitching is so important to you, then it's time to switch to lower performing 'ethical' funds/stocks.

Remember Walkerton? PCBs in the 80s? Asbestos in the 70s? Maple Leaf and Listeria last year? Our history is hardly perfect in this matter and our own history shows our government never learns from its mistakes (at least when it comes to product safety).

So far...... there's no confirmed evidence that there's any of that drywall in Canada. The symptoms mentioned in the Lower Mainland are more likely from people living in mould infested/pot homes.

We won't know for another 10 years when everyone that installed Chinese drywall is dying of fibromyalgia or cancer of the anus.

I'll need some drywall before summer so I'll just have to trust that the "Made in Canada" label isn't lying to me. Nice world we got going here nowadays, where you can't even touch or install simple things anymore without worrying about dying from something horrible just so some pricks further up the line can make a few extra bucks.
