We get the same whiners every year when the air show is on. Though I understand if people work night shifts.

If something like that was to happen to me I'm sure it would startle the Hell out of me, the same as any sudden, unexpected loud noise would.....not a big thing but it sure would get the heart beating!

I remember one year when I went to the airshow in Abbotsford('92 or '93), the CF-18 came in from behind the crowd(over the Tradex building first and then the airfield) -really low-. it scared the shit out of most who were looking the opposite direction. I happened to be looking backwards and saw it coming. No time to say anything though

They're pretty loud, all right. I've experienced the same from Typhoon Eurofighter. What an evil (and loud!) sounding aircraft. It must be terrifying to have one of those fire rockets or drop bombs on you. It's the old "Stuka" effect.

The loudest thing I've ever heard was a B1 Lancer. I was in an apartment when it flew overhead. It sounded like the apocalypse.

The Concorde was loud and dirty ... 1960s technology, after all.
