This local tried to convince the government that THEY should be entitled to TWO years of UI when everyone else only got 1 year. This is a local that didn't give a rat's ass if your McDonald's burger was gonna cost 10 bucks by trying to unionize McDonalds. This is a local that tried to tell a major multi-national company that if they didn't let the union in, they wouldn't be doing business in Ontario.

And NOW, they are trying to garner support and show they are in touch by attempting to parrot the "feelings" of the "rest of the nation" in this matter. Funny how they haven't said shit about all this for the last 7-8 years.

Every year the Unions (its a different one every year) try to get my workplace involved. They stand on the roads to try and give drivers flyers as they drive off the parking lot. Last year it was a food and beverage workers union. lol. We are a medical lab.

I appreciate how important unions have been in history but at the same time I don't want one at my work place.
