BartSimpson BartSimpson:
At least the British subs were compatible with Canadian tug boats.

Sad but true.

Thanos Thanos:
An F-16C/D package comes with a completely reasonable cost today of around $25 million US (adjusted from 1998 dollars and dependent of which weapon bundle is selected). Just to prove how exceptional Canada is at military procurement let's put in a bid on some with the price jacked up all the way to $50 million each. C'mon Canada, we can do it!

Single engine though. I like the super hornet idea, maybe the Eurofighter...

nah money talks, and now that the US trade admin has found the 'terrifs' on Bombardier jets is unfounded, Boeing will see $$$$ and all is forgiven!

I'll expect us to take the ancient Canadair CT-133 Silver Star down from it's display pedestal at the Brandon, MB airport to put back into active service before the air force gets any newish or even semi-modern fighters.

Nice looking plane though, with that early jet-age beauty to it, from an era when (despite the growing Cold War) everything wasn't as completely fucked and awful the way things are today.
