Dragon-Dancer Dragon-Dancer: Regina Regina: Dragon-Dancer Dragon-Dancer: Played plenty as a kid... not in organized teams mind you but plenty. It shows. Shows what? that the ultra competitive yahoos that played in organized teams made the whole thing far less fun for the rest of us that just wanted to enjoy the game? I'll buy that. I get enjoyment out of competition. Maybe why I like fighting so much.

$1: For the last damned time, I have NO problem with teaching kids how to deliver or receive a check. But that does not mean you should allow it during a game that young. I have no problem teaching 16 yr olds to drive. But that does not mean they should be allowed to drive on public roads while so "young"? Sounds fucking retarded don't it?

ALL kids and rookies would have followed the same training, so wtf are you going on about??? They'll be able to handle it just fine, just as rookies can now. Are you nuts??? No mater how much you drill and practice something, you will never become good at it unless you do it in real time in real situations. Something called "experience." No amount of training or practice will ever be equivalent to just diving in and experiencing things first hand. Right. Obviously EVERY kid wants to and will become an NHL player. So you HAVE to body check 5 year olds into the boarding 4 times a week, because that's serves what purpose again? Oh, right. Daddy's idea that son should grow up being an NHL player, although the kid just wants wants to play a damned game of hockey.

Either the ESL is kicking in hard, or you're deliberately trying to be a pain in his ass.

As I said above, you've either got some severe ESL issues here, or you're being a deliberate pain in the ass because we disagree with you. I'm thinking it's the latter. Go troll somewhere else. I'm out of here.

Not in Vancouver anymore. $1: As I said above, you've either got some severe ESL issues here, or you're being a deliberate pain in the ass because we disagree with you. I'm thinking it's the latter.
Go troll somewhere else. I'm out of here. You guys are all over me about this, but I never implemented that ban. I only agree. And, so did On The Ice. Disagreeing is trolling? Ok. Thanks for letting me know, TROLL!!!

It shows you know shit from putty while casually watching from a distance. Understanding comes from playing. I played so I understand, apparently you missed that.

What's the difference between teaching a 5 year old to drive (and crash) or teaching a 5 year old to play hockey and crash (as in body-check)?

Once you cross that line it's no longer about enjoying yourself it's about winning at any cost. I don't have an issue with fighting either, it's place is in the ring or on a battlefield.

If you've never played organized, competitive hockey, you don't understand.

Didn't miss a thing. You only played as a kid, and now you watch from a distance.

Well, when crashing becomes a normal part of driving outside of demo-derbies you can ask me that stupid question again. Or maybe you think your nineteen year old should still not be allowed to drive on public roads?
