acidcomplex acidcomplex: stupidest rule ever, better take out radios, passengers, crying babies, signs on the side of the roads, big electronic signs, contruction.....alll distractions Brilliant. Generally, however, big elecgtronic signs don`t require the use of one of your driving hands to hold it to you ear.

I think those cops with flashing lights are a big distraction, too.

There isn't even a discussion here. Who really needs a Cell phone. The only job that requires a cellphone is a cellphone salesman, for everyone else, it is a leash. Bosses got you....LOL I refused the Blackberry my work wanted to give me.

i want a blackberry next time around, but ive figured out a way to use my generic phone to READ my google calendar, google tasks, gmail, and telus email. It has limited editing capability, too. I'm actually a bit excited about this new discovery because I've had the same phone for about 3 years and always found the browser to be quite clumsy and useless....it seems like google has single handedly changed that for me.

I had to try the Web browser on my Bell Samsung. After about five minutes it loaded the menu from our webpage, but none of the pics or text so I shut it off as useless. A month later the bill came. That cost $2.40. At $35 a MB.....

most of google mobile doesn't work on anything less than a smart phone, so all I am able to get is the front page with a menu that takes to places like gmail, maps, tasks, calendar.
At first I thought it was useless because each link takes me to a page that basicly tells me that my phone isn't capable of running the new features......However, to my surprise, they offer a link to the web based sites ( instead of the mobile specific sites)........furthermore, I noticed that if I go to the various google website pages, they are reasonably cellphone friendly.
So what am I trying to say? I have 1 page bookmarked in my cellphone for the front page of google mobile. This page basically works like a menu that allows me to navigate to my gmail, calendar, task list, and google photo albums. Every one of these screen are functional and friendly to my cellphone.
How am I using it? I do 99% of my scheduling and organizing on regular computers, but me cellphone acts as a deceint way to access and read the information.
Also, my phone is a telus phone, so I finally got around to setting it up so that the phone checks my telus email account.....then I went back to my gmail account setting and instructed gmail to forward a copy of all emails to my telus email account......the end result? my phone is automatically alerting me of all incoming telus emails ( and all incoming gmail emails)
Next summer I plan on getting some sort of touch screen smart phone, but for now, I think I have worked a way to use my phone is ways that I didn't think were possible.
