Change and enforce the law.
Your kid can't go to school with my kid unless he is vaccinated.

When fear of science leads to public illness it's time to act.

Nothing like the hard lesson to smarten people up, shame it's the kids that might be the ones dying rather than their 'guardians'.

Very cruel desease, one got - all around got too. I thought it's desease of past, but anyway shit happens. They'll find the first kid and put the dogs on his parents as usual.

If all kids around the ill kid vere vaccinated, they won't get it. So your kid can't go to school unless your kid is vaccinated.

Fwiw. It's not the usual pack of idiots who didn't have their kids vaccinated. There's a few churches in the area that don't believe in fancy things like vaccines.

It's more along the lines of, "It's God's will".

In other words, these idiots believe that if their child dies from a perfectly preventable or curable disease/illness it must be God's will.

... had both types of measles. We all got measles, mumps, rubella, chicken pox in the 60's. Fortunately, Polio was finally ending and I'm one of the first group of kids to be vaccinated in school. I had a schoolmate who was in a brace for several years (contracted in in Kindergarten about a year ahead of Jonah Salk) but he was a mild case and he eventually became a pretty fair basketball player. He was one of the lucky ones. Diphtheria was already gone when I was a kid and, of course, we were all inoculated for Small Pox.

... And don't forget the Tuberculosis that you can contract from un-pasteurized milk. I have know one of it's victims and it is a terrible, debilitating disease that leaves the body bent and broken. It has been gone from our lives for so long that people have forgotten why we pasteurize milk in the first place. There is a fairly widespread bit of stupidity out there that thinks we pasteurized because there is some sort of plot against us getting "wholesome food". Really, we do it because our ancestors got tired of burying their children but the P.C. crowd have all forgotten that.

One of the things you folks are skipping over are the vectors of the diseases.

In communities like Chilliwack where diseases have been eradicated then vaccines are not important until immigrants move into the community.

In California the vectors for tuberculosis, mumps, measles, whooping cough, West Nile Virus, and dengue fever have all turned out to be immigrants who entered the country without being screened for disease.

We used to screen immigrants for disease until someone decided that this practice was 'racist'.

I suppose if we get enough people to die for political correctness then maybe we can go back to screening people for disease.

That made zero sense.
