He dropped that rabid dog, but not before it killed a bunch of kids. They need to destroy the rest of the litter, if not the entire pack itself.

It's true. The media in the US typically ignore news where citizens use guns correctly to defend themselves and others.

Of course, some people would argue that the student here should be charged with murder because he wasn't actually defending himself and should have waited for the police to show up.

Most Israelis are military reservists, so he was doing his duty. I've worked with guys who've served in the IDF, and they are all highly trained professionals.

What I mean is that the IDF people who generally come into contact with people from other nation's militaries have a nasty tendency to also be Mossad. Consequently, they like to have conversations that drift into subjects that are not germaine to the issue at hand.

While the USA is friendly to Israel, we have no illusions about them being necessarily as friendly to us as is Canada. It's no secret that after the Chinese and the French the next biggest group of espionage operators in the USA is Israel.

Personally, I like the Israelis, but I'm more inclined to speak freely with a Russian than I am an Israeli.

Probably that it doesn't prove anything, it won't work here, it would lead to vigilantiism, innocent bystanders could be hit, could lead to shootouts in the school... pick one. I'm sure the anti-kill-the-evil-motherfucker activists will pick all of them.

All I heard was that he was an army reservist with his rifle not a student with his pistol.

Nevertheless, the article has deliberately ignored one fact. At the recent shooting at the Univ. of N. Illinois, the shooting began and was over in less than a minute when the shooter was shot by a campus guard.

Campus cops here can't carry firearms.

Thousands of people die by guns deaths a year in the US alone, add the rest of the worlds total as well. Though one student killed a terrorist in the ENTIRE world and they are using that as avertisement to say guns can protect people? Yes, a student shooting a terrorist because he had a gun makes up for all the thousands, and probally millions of gun deaths in the world per year . They make me sick.

That massive number of gun deaths would be smaller if there were more guns in the hands of law abiding citizens.
