There are a lot of blood thirst kooks that I hope die from a missile attack, but what this shows is that the "Arabs" are not a monolithic group. There are some muslims who are quite secular and good people who can mix well with other people. The mixed marriage of her parents proves this.
She is a splendid example of what is good from the arab world.

It turns out her father is Christian. Lots of those in Lebanon. Sounds like she's just a well integrated American. It would be nice if they referred to her as such, left off the hyphen. If a white woman had won, would they use a hyphen to refer to her?
