sasquatch2 sasquatch2:
The much publicized "CONSENSUS" is another fabrication which never existed. The only consensus was within the IPCC and the MSM.

It's a myth that most leading scientists disbelieve human-caused global warming.

http://environment.newscientist.com/cha ... ge/dn11654

sasquatch2 sasquatch2:
The concesus, like the "hockey stick", NASA's claim for "1998 being the warmest since 1880" are now all thoroughly discredited.

The "hockey stick" being debunked is also a myth.

sasquatch2 sasquatch2:
Jetboy should do some reading and not just quoting the Gorical and Suzuki.

I've done a heck of a lot of reading on the subject and none of it involves Al Gore.

sasquatch2 sasquatch2:
Suzuki is as qualified on the environment as Mr. Dressup.

That's the stupidist thing I've heard all week. Look up his biography and credentials.

sasquatch2 sasquatch2:
He should read the recent spat of peer-review material that thoroughly debunks CO2's role in a largely non-event.

I've heard it all before. Most of them are well-funded nay-sayers biased in favour of the oil and auto companies.

sasquatch2 sasquatch2:
Science, the real stuff, shows the early Holocene (end of the last ICE AGE) was extremely warm sufficient to largely remove 1 mile thick ICE SHEETS from most of North America and Eurasia, in about a 10 year time span. That's bloody warm.

Speaking of reading, read this entire article series...

There are many experts in Ottawa who talk about political issues - do you believe them by default, too?

When they can provide solid data, yes. For instance, we know that Stephen Harper is unpopular among female voters right now. Now I don't extrapolate that Mrs. Harper is refusing him sex because of that...she's likely refusing him sex because he's a dead lay...but I do think it does, at least in part, explain his continued unpopularity in urban centres.

JetBoy JetBoy:
ziggy ziggy:
We had 9 feet of ice on lake Tehake this spring, same amount as the last 12 years when they started monitoring it.Trust me....it comes back end of September. The only ice melting up there this winter was in my glass of Crown Royal, nothing like huge chunks of blue arctic ice to compliment a good whisky.

You think your personal observation of one lake is an accurate measurment of the ice situation at the poles? There's many experts right now in both the Arctic and Antarctic studying this fulltime so I'd rather believe them.
No many lakes,we built ice roads over many kliks this spring and will this next year also,I live and work in the Arctic, very closely with environmental types and biologists and all the people that really do care about the environment, not some folks like you who have an agenda.

so lets recap,I work with some of Canada,s best and brightest experts where Arctic environment is concerned,i have studies in front of me for Environmental impact studies from as far back as 2001,I have studies from Farside lake,Pipedream lake,PDF lake, lake Tehake,a whole slew of un named lakes and lets not forget lake "Ziggy"....Yes,I have named a lake after myself. Now if you want I can name drop some of these experts and you can check out their credentials yourself if you want,Im not here to change your mind ok? And these folks are here fulltime in minus 80 along with me,Were here because we love the work, not because we have some point to prove so come back with some credible evedence about global warming and not just YOUR interpetation of what were doing wrong. Because life and development will continue in the Arctic, nothing you have posted yet makes me think we should look at what were doing there.

Oh,the air and water is so pure there that you cant smell anything but nature and you can drink the water anywhere on the tundra, its called dead water and is ver pure, too cold for algae,Canada is a huge country,I suggest you get out and visit some of it,broaden your horizons a tad. Quit beleiving everything you read.

When they can provide solid data, yes.

How do you trust that data when it's compiled by people whose department budgets are controlled by those same experts?

He's a dead lay? and you know this how? Good god Rev,I knew you Winnipeggers were different but focusing on Harpers sex life means you must have a pretty bad sex life yourself. :o

Right?

Suzuki received his BA from Amherst College in Massachusetts in 1958, and his Ph.D in zoology from the University of Chicago in 1961.

I guess I missed his degree in meteorology and his doctorate on macro-climatology.

But I did catch the part on his work in the entertainment industry where he's just as qualified as Al Gore and Leonardo DeCaprio to speak on environmental issues.
