Sounds more to me like a well-crafted bit of guerrilla marketing on the part of Mickey's PR department.

I know a lot of people were pissed that they had so little to offer people.
My guess is someone at McD’s marketing is a Rick and Morty fan, watched the episode and noticed there was some leftover sauce from way back when. The distributed as much as they could but greatly underestimated the depth of Rick and Morty fandom. Hence the craziness.

Who would drive hours just to taste anything that McD calls "food"?
The fact that they would run out of something probably saves countless lives.

The same kind of idiots who line up or riot to get the latest cell phones and sneakers.

My stomach churns at imagining what McDs would do to Szechuan stuff...
1 chili flake 3 crushed peanuts 2 peppercorns 1000 gallons High Fructose Corn Suger
