Thanos Thanos: The tinder's been piling up for a long time, and not just under Justin Trudeau's reign of regional bickering. It's long overdue to finally catch fire. If Canada had even once over the last thirty-five years taken any of these disputes seriously then the situation wouldn't be anywhere grim as it now is. No one to blame but ourselves and the usual complacency that's become one of the hallmarks of the Canadian character. I'm looking forward to the breakup of Canada. The end result will be a bigger USA and if we end up with BC then I'll be retiring to Victoria for sure.

It'll still be full of commies, just like San Francisco is. Why trade your place in a high-tax virtue-signalling hellhole like California for an even higher-tax worst virtue-signalling one in BC?
If it happens it will be Alberta and Saskatchewan joining first, probably as territories like Puerto Rico or Guam. Can't see the powers-that-be wanting to upset the existing American system too much by giving official state status and four Senators to two large jurisdictions that would both be ultra-moderate by American standards.

Because it would be so fucking awesome to openly carry a loaded AR-15 and a holstered .45 on Government Street.

peck420 peck420: BRAH BRAH: turn off the taps I will survive. Survive, sure. Be happy? Hardly. I doubt your average Canadian understands what is going to happen if he follows through? Doesn't even matter if Canadian courts over turn it in minutes. If the act happens, Canada is in serious trouble. And I mean all of Canada, not Alberta, not BC, ALL of Canada. I will probably take transit to work etc when gas prices reach $2.00 a liter like I did last year when it was over $160.0. As for the rest of the Vancouver lower mainland Nimby's who don't want a Pipeline and think they can dictate what happens with Canada's waterways, think again because Karma's a bitch.

Another round of stupid between AB and BC, and many will not have jobs to take transit too. This is an issue that the fed's needed to step in on way faster, and with way more authority. If the answer was going to be "no", that should have been issued and stood by. If the answer was going to be "yes", same. It is the uncertainty that kills, not the decision. Our politicos have been playing in the uncertainty box for far too long.

Instead of saying I'm an expert on what's inside your video, I'll just say 'IDGAF about what's inside your video.' Good for you Fifer. And IDGAF that UDGAF. But for anybody with a more open mind the vid's there.

The New York Times is covering the Alberta election and they make clear in their headline their sympathies for Trudeau and the left. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/17/worl ... udeau.htmlTrudeau Faces a New Foe as Conservatives Retake Power in AlbertaI personally love how Kenney has put it on the table to cancel payments to the other provinces regardless of the wishes of Ottawa. ![Drink up [B-o]](./images/smilies/drinkup.gif)

Thanos Thanos: Highest election turnout in Alberta in almost 45 years, with 70% of eligible voters participating: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton ... -1.5102889It's better than the same percentage waiting in line for the new I-Phone.

BartSimpson BartSimpson: I personally love how Kenney has put it on the table to cancel payments to the other provinces regardless of the wishes of Ottawa. ![Drink up [B-o]](./images/smilies/drinkup.gif) Unless I’m mistaken, transfer payments come out of general tax revenue. I don’t think Kenny is dumb enough to tell people not to pay their taxes. More likely this was an appeal to the typical, uninformed voter who thinks Alberta cuts a cheque to the other provinces each year.

Pretty sure Notley meant it as a big stick to never be used, which is why it was never sent to the LG to be given Royal Assent. But I'll bet Kenney is enough of a douche to actually get it rubber stamped and use it.
