lily lily: camerontech camerontech: lily lily: exactly, Cameron. 16 is a good age.... yet this girl, at 15, is somehow old enough to know better and should have understood what she was getting into. 16 is a good age IMO, doesn't mean every girl is the same. also, this wasn't sex, all girls should know the birds and the bees way before 15. if she was smart enough to get a tattoo, sneak into a 18+ bar and make it on stage for a competition. she understood what she was getting into. I still think we're blowing this way out of proportion. Ah, I see. 16 is a good age for some girls, but not all of them. I guess you get to decide?
no, they do

Brenda Brenda: You don't just "grow to be mature" overnight. The age of consent doesn't say anything about what they are really doing, only about the LEGAL ways. First, she shouldn't have been there. Second, if you can have a tattoo on your back like that, I imagine your parents gave permission (here you need permission till you're 18 for a tattoo. I don't think Canada is that different). Third, if you are allowed to have sex at 16, you know your way at 15, too. She showed she knew what to do.
She is no innocent nun, and she never claimed to be. He is no innocent monk, and he never claimed to be either.
Alot of girls these days aren't even virgins anymore at 16. Scary but true. But the point about the tattoo is good, if she's allowed to have a tattoo like that, then obviously her father isn't very strict with her, minister or not.

lily lily: $1: The video was rough, sure, but hey, some like it that way, don't they?
You think a girl her age is old enough to really understand about different types of sex.... especially degrading kinds? I brought up the age of consent because many people claim that "kids" that age aren't old enough or mature enough to understand the implications of sex.... yet this girl is somehow responsible and should have known what she was getting into. Smacks of a double standard.
Girls may "know" about rough sex, but they are definately not mature enough at 15 to experience it. And they shouldn't until they are an adult and choose to.

I love how my age is being totally degraded here. Being thrown around like "nigger" at a KKK meeting.
Yes, all 15 year olds are a bunch of idiots who don't know shit about what's going on around them. We are all blind and have the attention span of a tick tack. We know nothing about sex or society or the words in music. Thanks. Oh wait, no, "most" of us.

Hey, we were all 15 at one time or another and now is when we realize we actually weren't as mature as we thought we were. Some are still living with mistakes made as a teen.

Why is she some kind of saint here? She SHOWED she knew what she was doing. Kids at age 15 are no dumb babies anymore who have not been around. She showed that perfectly only by being there.
The security guards at the door should have not let her in. So I guess when you want her off the hook, blame them.
On the other hand, bringing the age of consent back... If kids aren't old enough, that means the parents are responsible, aren't they...

canucker canucker: Hey, we were all 15 at one time or another and now is when we realized we actually weren't as mature as we thought we were. Some are still living with mistakes made as a teen. Yes, of course.
People make mistakes.
Just honestly, tired of my age being referred to as the "You are a total complete fuck-up" age.
Like I always say... 3 more years until I become an actual human being. *Sigh*

By the way, in Canada, the Age of consent is 14. If you want that raised, go vote Conservative.
Hell, I'm okay with. Everyone in my class is atleast 14 (14-16) and they aren't screwing each other like a bunch of idiots. They aren't stupid enough to go around and ask for some 35 year old to please them either.
Long Live the Teenage age.

lily lily: I don't think I've claimed she was a saint. She obviously made some bad choices, and given her age, do you honestly think she truly understood the potential consequences of her actions? Oh, I give up.

The 2 15-years old girls in Australia, who strangled a friend and got sentenced for life inprisonment, had no idea what they were doing either?

Well, there are many examples we can bring to this topic. I, for one, kicked some one in the nuts who was a bit too close... I was 15. I knew my way around. I had my own place when I was 17.
I think a lot has to do with character too. The girl in the video is not a dumb ignorant child. She is mature enough to be in the place she wanted to be. If she was acting like you think a 15 year should behave, she wouldn't have been there, because she would have been a nice, welbehaved sweet little girl, who doesn't even think about having sex.
Welcome to the real world...

lily lily: Mr_Canada Mr_Canada: lily lily: And she was 17. And now we are all attention seeking idiots. Yes, that's right. My story about one girl 20 years ago is all about you. Your story is an attempt to prove your point about Teenagers being Attention Seeking Idiots who know nothing.
So technically, no it's not all about me.
But it's about people of my age, which happens to of course include me.

You think her actions were mature? I don't. And?
I guess everything needs an opposition.
