Good call, their freedom to disrupt is more important than everyone elses to enjoy the event. We need more people throwing marbles under police horses' hooves so that they fall as well as blocking public access to events.

dunno, maybe the reaction would be a little better if the government
and the police weren't so happy to suspend people's basic rights
over a sports event.

Hoping there will be protests country-wide, maybe the
idiots in the gov't will learn something from it.

And the cops can get off their fat asses and walk,
I'm sure the horses will like it.

Hey you're right. The police state we live must be taken down by the handful of professional protesters who's rights to disrupt trump the rights of others. I feel kinda bad for all those arrested so far and shipped off to labour camps in Fort McMurray. Fortunately, all the Constitutional challanges currently in court to stop Olympic security plans are well underway by all of those fine upstanding and responsible people exercsing their democratic rights.

No no, I can see you're all sensitive and stuff and on the cusp of a big temper tantrum here. I'll stop picking on the noble protesters using a national event as a soapbox to exercise their constitutional rights to disrupt, ruin, and whine, trumping the rights of those who wish to enjoy them.

So now they finally have something to protest about, What was the reason a year ago when they said they were going to protest the Olympics? Did they have one yet.

IMO the activists have a good point to protest. Atleast the ones I saw video clips of. They were talking about how much money was spend into just one day of a event that doesn't really matter. Money that could have well easily built homes for those who are homeless or whatever community related thing you can think off. Hell even spending it purely on the military would have been a better choice.

The activists should have protested BEFORE the Torch Relay however. I mean, if all the money is already spent. What good is protesting and ruining the event for everybody else when the money has already been spent. Talk about waste of money IMO. Government already spent the money on it and they are just going to go and ruin the event for everybody else. Wheres the abusive cops when you need them.

My point. The money's spent, it's too late. There was a provincial election and there will be another to express their grievances. Hell, if they must protest, then do so without ruining it for everyone or endangering lives.

Unbelievable they were trying to make the police horses fall!
