Lets face it .. we are all immigrants. I have nothing against immigrants. I do have issue with immigrants from the middle east. They are the takers and shakers who come here and usually don't contribute. Have a million demands about their rights ( which they never had before) and wanting to change things here.. Even the ones who do work ( 7 elvens and macs stores) screw the system.. cheat on the lottery and don't pay taxes. Muslims who come here with 5 or 6 wifes.. then put them on welfare. What kind of crap is that? There are immigrants who come here and work.. pay taxes and integrate... mostly from European countries.
Most from the islands think we owe them a living. Since when should you be allowed to come here and go directly on the dole? Shouldn't happen.

Kenmore I'd respectfully disagree on your analysis. Indians, Chinese, Lebanese and West Africans seem to integrate quite well.

North Africans, Caribbeans, Pakistanis, well, their success is slightly more variable.

My parents are from Europe, and I know all to well what goes on in the eastern European community (in Toronto) and it ain't pretty.

These broad strokes we paint people with (myself included, guilty as charged), sometimes go too far.

That list of names sounds very multi-ethnic and it seems whoever these people may be are involved in good old fashioned insurance fraud, something that real Canadians (whomever they may be) aren't immune to committing.

Strange as it may sound, I can sort of agree with Kenmore. If you're an immigrant and commit a crime, depending on the severity, it should be, have a nice flight back to wherever the hell you came from.

But, here's where I differ. Let's ratchet up that idea one more notch. If you're a Canadian Citizen and commit a crime, depending on the severity, it should be, have a nice flight to whatever third world country the first plane leaving Canada goes to.

It'd be a win win situation. No one could claim we're discriminating against immigrants and it would deter our resident criminals from committing crimes, since they'd know that they'd be held in some third world prison for the next 20 years trying to prove they were Canadian Citizens.
