And that's what happened to debates in the House of Commons... from constructive discussions to a war of idiotic comparisons. I fail to see how all this wasted saliva helped advancing in whatever debate that was supposed to be.

Come back tomorrow for another presentation of Canada's Worst Intellectuals!

Nice little piece of video, but it does not show anything of what Dion said to begin with.

I must apologize since I have drank a few beers. But I must say that I am neutral on this matter. Neither left or right.

Again, this video does not show much intellectuallity. It just shows Harper responding to whatever comment Dion made.

Oh shit, I gotta go get another beer. BRB.

This is in the Conservative section and I would like to remind you that:

$1:
These are open Canadian politics forums, discussion about political issues amongst all Canadians and political view points. A certain amount of banter and "flame" is tolerated, it makes for an entertaining forum, think of it as our online House of Commons.
If you wish to discuss issues related to a particular political party with like minded people visit our political party subforums.

It is definately partizan and a hack job, not meant to reflect well on Dion or the rest of the Liberal enviromental record. That's why it's in the Big Blue-C section.
This snippet does not reflect the work or actions of Canadian politicos but is shown for amusement of like minded folks. If you find it contrary to you're views, please note that this is the Conservative section.

Look, I respect you opinion on this matter.

I guess, I was trying to comment more or less on the fact of partisanship.

We don't know much about Dion just yet. Environment yes, but rest of it, not much. Again, Harper is not such a bad dude, IMO.

Ah, WTF, I guess I should not be arguing about this at all. I am neutral, so why should I give a flying f.ck. :P

Let's all have a beer, mostly in the Christmas season. [B-o]

Indeed, voice you're opinion! For far too long we've let other deal with these matters and trusted them to take care of it for us, only to find they ripped us off.
Cheers & bests of Christmass to ya.

Have you listened to the Keith Martian Nov 7th. smack down, in Riden's collection here ? I like that one also.

I bet Olivia had to listen to Jack practise that speech all night long, and then to get all fired up and lose it. that was to funny, i like the expression
of the guy behind Layton

(Not sure if you wanted to respond to me or Pimpbrewski with that, but I'll post anyway.)

Well, I didn't really want to blast Harper, or the Conservative party, with my statement. Usually I wouldn't even have responded in this part of the forum. Yet, since I rather wanted to point out the House was wasting precious time with situations like this one, where the point is pretty much ignored and parties end up only attacking each other instead, I thought it wouldn't hurt to comment. After all, what I said applies to every person and party of the House and wasn't really aimed at anyone in particular. Sorry for the confusion.

EDIT: Oh, and, I'm only speaking of the first video here. The second one is funny!

Watching question period provides an endless source of entertainment. Harper and Flaherty always have the best responses.

I used to think Chretien was good during question period but Harper beats him by a long shot.

If and when Harper steps down, I will not be surprised in the least if Flaherty runs for leader of the Party. Him winning will be another matter, but if you can have a favourite politician, he would be mine.
