Look, the con brand as a whole does have its head in the sand. It was only with the current leader that they were dragged, KICKING AND SCREAMING, to embrace climate change as a platform. And even then half the base still doesn't believe it. There there is the whole issue of native rights and their revisionist history which as you can see in Manitoba, they still cling to today. EVERYONE ELSE SEES THOUGH THIS SHIT.

The liberals, even with the scandals, are still polling leagues ahead of the cons and as far as the public is concerned haven't completely mishandled the covid crisis. Most are thankful the the cons were not in power because if your neighbors to the south are any metric, it could have been far, far worse.

You're kidding, right? The Greens were never a threat, and nor will they ever will be. They don't even have official party status. The NDP with Singh as leader are a bigger joke then they ever have been, and he'll be gone after any forthcoming election. He's a showman that has nothing between the ears, and has proven it time and again.

The Conservatives have not 'imploded' so much as they are trying to find direction under someone who shouldn't have become leader.

Flat out wrong. The majority of the green vote is generated by people WHO NEVER VOTED FOR ANY MAJOR PARTY BEFORE. They are focused on policy that the major parties have outright disregarded to their own peril. The liberals outright steal the best parts of the NDP platform who in turn steal the best part of the greens and where did the greens get their platform from? The disenfranchised who never voted before. Over half of Canadians who can vote DON'T and there is a reason for that disenfranchisement.

1) Flay out wrong? Not at all. Last I checked, the Green Party of Canada only has TWO seats out of 338 in the House of Commons. They are bitterly involved in leadership issues that are tearing the 'party' apart from within. In the 2019 election, they got 3.45% of the overall vote, which is beyond pathetic. That also leads me to...

2) Elizabeth May. She is primarily responsible for her 'party' not ever going anywhere, mainly because she never had a clue what she was doing, and neither do the Greens as a whole. They are raving lunatics and psychos, plain and simple. There's a guy in town who became councillor here in the last municipal election who previously ran for the Greens federally.

In said federal election (2015, I believe) he finished a distant fourth. As a councillor, he has been sanctioned and reprimanded on a couple occasions for his views and the way he acts. This is a dude that flunked with a 'party' that flunked, and is now using his extremism to try and do the same thing on city council. Anyone with the 'Green Party' mindset is not only a danger to themselves, but others.

3) I have a good friend who is loyal to the Greens and votes for them at every election (federal/provincial), and even she has mentioned on many occasions how hopeless the 'party' is because of their mindset and lack of morals/brains/etc.

4) Instead of ever having a decent platform, the Greens waste their time attacking other things (FPTP/pipelines/etc.) that aren't even a problem per se. The Greens focus their aggression on things the average Canadian doesn't give a shit about, and their idea of a platform is a joke every time, to say the least.

5) The best thing that can happen whenever the next election is, would be a Conservative minority government. Majorities have started to piss me off in recent years because they have far too much power, no matter who's in charge. More likely to happen is another Liberal minority that will be held up by idiots like Singh and Blanchet yet again, and we'll be back to where we started.

Canada won't be fixed until the current crop of leaders get the heave-ho.

You are focused too much on the tree and not the forest in front of you. The fact that the greens even had a shot at a seat, let alone 3, shows there is a rising tide of resentment. Policy means something and for the longest time them main parties have gotten away scott free by having NONE. In Quebec the 'none of the above party' is the bloc and for the rest of the country that's becoming Green.

For all the pearl clutching you go off on the Greens for having no morals your not holding the cons to that same standard so it is impossible to hold that charge with ANY authority. I would also point out that when the cons do hold power the LAST thing they want to do is have standards. They jam everything they can thru omnibus bills so they don't have to explain to parliament how they should work.
