He's the new Fib leader and he is going to help Harper out by just being out there and speaking on behalf of the Fibs.

The Cons said all this last time...didn't work so well. Maybe, maybe not.

If Harper actually keeps a few more promises (icebreakers and an Arctic port) he might get my vote this time.

I have my doubts over any majority. Some promises have not been kept such as income trusts and the icebreakers as bootlegga has said. My biggest worry is equalisation payments and what will happen on that and it will probably be what decides voting for the Tories or not at least for me.

I think it will happen. Mathematically, it is nearly impossible to consider a Liberal majority, and I think that with the Liberals Ontario numbers plunging, we truly do stand a good chance at a majority.

and with any luck it will shut the Fibs up for at least 4 years or make them cry more than they do now. The Fiberal Baby Party of Canada...their motto if we can't screw Canadians who can better than us.

Currently I'm damn near inlove with the conservatives, only thing they haven't help up to really is the icebreakers.

However, I feel that some of the reasons why i love them is because they are making concessions to other partys over some issues, such as the environment (would they realy have committed all that cash if they were in a majority?)

so, wither we have a minority, consessions, and idiots voting "no" to what is a pretty good deal for all, or a majority that might not make as good of a deal otheriwse.

both ways I think we are kinda nutted. so I'm hoping to a very large minority if the issue is over the budget... Doesn't the budget get passed if an election is called over it and the original gov. wins?

a conservative majority is possible but unlikely. I expect another minority government in the next election.
