I've got an HP that's almost seven years old. It's got a P3 and it finds someway to drive me slightly more mad every day.

When I get get a new PC (if ever), I will take a sledgehammer to this thing.

2.6 GHz P4 with hyperthreading.

I'm hoping I can talk my wife into letting me pass this one down to my stepson and get a new one.

It will have to wait till after Xmas though.

This comment is being written on an IBM T42 Thinkpad with a 1.7 Ghz CPU, 1 gig of RAM, and intergrated video and audio. It's my work machine and it does the job.

At home my gaming machine is an Alienware Area-51 ALX that last week replaced my very serviceable Dell.

Coupled with my T1 line ($15 more per month than DSL) it has been unbelievably awesome when playing Battlefield 2 online. No hangs, no freezes, no latency issues, and very fluid gameplay.

Now if I can just the freaking drivers for the joystick to recognize BF2 I'll be happy!

Early P4 512 Mb Ram 80 gigglybyte HD.

OS is Windows 2003 Server Enterprise, gives me more control than XP.

MacAfee Antivirus Enterprise, Microsoft Antispyware, no firewall (pain in the ass).

Also run "Ethereal" to view TCP traffic.
Run a lot of VB scripts to tailor the OS a little, such as getting rid of yellow balloons and disabling unnecessary services.

Now I'm a computer guy, but I will put on my humble cap to ask you guys a question....how do you get pictures into the body of your post, not as an attachment??????

Regards Frank

You need a URL address for that. Just click on the image icon above (mountains) and copy and paste the URL addy there.

If you pic doesn't have a URL, sometimes you can get it if you right click on the image and go to properties. You can copy and paste the URL under its address or location.

Hope that helps a bit.

LOL!!!

I wish it were because I was off playing BF2. Things are just very, very busy here at the shop and situations are keeping me on my toes so I haven't had as much time on CKA as I prefer.

I suppose I had to work sometime this year!

You need to use HTML 'tags' that tell a browser how to view certain things.

HTML tags look like this:

[example] is the start of an HTML statement and [/example] is the end of the statement.

When you press "quote" on this post you should see quote tags at the beginning of our posts and shorter tags with a switch "/" in them at the end of the posts.

And you'll also see the tags for images before and after the URL for this picture:
