It only gives the option to start a new alliance that I can see, rather then join one.

Yes sorry, I don't know if you can request to join, I only know how to invite people. Invites are now sent out, check your ingame messages.

it doens't matter which faction you choose, we can all be in the same alliance together. Probably best to have a mixed bag.

She takes a long time to get things underway but the game is quite interesting, not sure if I want to pay for the upgrade or not.... if some more people from CKA join that could persuade me

yah im holding off on upgrade. It takes a long time for things to happen in the start it seems, so good game to play at work
