Since Proculation is a member of USN, is it expected that we aid him or is it entirely our own choice?

My nation is only a few days old, is it still in the no war grace period? If it is, would giving aid to Proculation be permitted? and would it void the grace period?

Since the nation attacking Proculation isn't in my colour or alliance (where Proculation is in USN) how does Maroon look upon things of this nature?

Would my anemic military actually help?

Why can't Proculation see the light and renounce his unMaroon ways?

Proculation is being helped out by the USN, I think you would be able to give aid but it's better to leave that to larger nations...for me 100k isn't really that much as I make over 250K after taxes every day. and help is completely voluntary, if you check out the USN boards you'll see that after I made a thread announcing that Proculation was attacked, I had 3 people declare on the attacker within a few hours. all of them are still fighting this war (and taking some losses too I might add).

We'll help Proc and the USN volunteers, plus it looks good if you help and you'll have a better chance at being in the USN government in the future

In the future, if you want to help out, you can declare war on the attacker (assuming you are in range). Since so many attacks are by nations under 1000 NS, we need people to launch counter-offensives. The 'Goose Doctrine' offers guidelines about how to do this. If you are interested in pursuing that option, check out the 'Barracks' sub-forum for current conflicts and post in threads where your military can be of help.

Generally, the way it works is we get three nations to declare war on the offender as a show of force. You only return attacks (if he fires cruise missiles, you can also) but you do not launch attacks until given authority. If it comes to full blown war, you buy troops, tech and smash the punk. Then the older, richer nations help you repair the damage you suffer with aid. Like Camerontech said, for older nations, 100K is not a big deal, but for you it's a week's (or more) total income.

Ack. I've started to read those boards, but it'll take some time to work through them. Since this guy has been beat down, he's out of my range. In this particular war, since he can't be attacked with troops, and Goose has decreed annihilation, is the CM or bombers the only option to ZI (I like that term!) this guy? Should I be taking this stuff to the USN forum?
