$1:
UN Secretary General Kofi Annan today said he was "shocked" at Israel's "apparently deliberate targeting" of a UN post in Lebanon, in which up to four UN observers were killed.

Mr Annan described the strike as a "co-ordinated artillery and aerial attack on a long established and clearly marked UN post."

He said it took place "despite personal assurances given to me by Prime Minister Ehud Olmert that UN positions would be spared Israeli fire."

"Furthermore, General Alain Pelligrini, the UN Force Commander in south Lebanon, had been in repeated contact with Israeli officers throughout the day on Tuesday, stressing the need to protect that particular UN position from attack.

"I call on the Government of Israel to conduct a full investigation into this very disturbing incident and demand that any further attack on UN positions and personnel must stop.

"The names and nationalities of those killed are being withheld pending notification of their families. I extend sincere condolences to the families of our fallen peacekeepers."

The UN should get out of the way they have been there for 28 years and didn't prevent a thing, now they’re an obstacle.

The real question is, does it count as a friendly fire incident, or an enemy fire incident?

That’s an interesting question. I’d say both and neither.

How’s that for a Liberal response

So it wasn't a fire extinguisher this time?

14 strikes in the same area

Like shooting fish in a barrel.

The WOW was that at this rate in another 2 weeks Israel will have killed more Canadians than the Taliban, and Stephen Harper is their number one cheerleader.....

But whatever, it's Jesus' country and you can't argue with the good Lord's chosen people, right?

VitaminC there will be a lot more Canadian Casualty when the dust setle over there. There is a lot of dead people in Libanon that we don't know about now. And with all the Canadian still trap in Libanon it is probable that maybe 50 or more Canadian will get hurt or worse.

Is anyone surprised? Seems Hezbollah is smarter then some people give them credit for.

"Guys, lets stay near a UN post so it gets hit, and then the UN turns against Israel too. Soon then will hate them more then us!"

You people fall into their trap so easily and it is quite frightening.

I'm glad this happened, it shows most people who are on the left have 1/2 a brain, and it also points out the freaks like you and elvis.

I'm sure the Allah country will take you. Watch out for the flying 155mm shells.
