Wow, every question is a screamfest with plenty of pounding and rancor. They are not backing down at all.

Harper should Prorogue, come back with a Real Plan, and quit playing his stupid Political games of brinksmanship. Maybe then he'll avoid getting dumped for the Coalition. If they still hold together and Vote No Confidence, fuck Harper, he's finished, let the Coalition Govern.

Stockwell came up with a good one about it not being in his DNA to deal with the seperatists.

What can he possibly say at this point? He blew it and needs to resign. He needs to make a public apology and admit he is not fit to lead.

It's up to the GG to choose the option that seems the least risky. If she were to grant him his prorogue, he doesn't have to hold parliament for a year. He can say he'll be back in January, but there is nothing to hold him to that. So for the GG, this option isn't entirely without risk. It could also look bad for Harper in that he will have caused another month of inaction when the country is headed for a economic crisis.

Time to let heads cool, Harper to get his act together and develop a plan.

So he can offer cabinet positions to the Bloc? Stick a fork in this joker, he's done!

I think he 'had' a plan but apparently it wasn't 'good' enough so...delaying it won't help at this point since nothing Harper does will be good enough at this point or later.

I could be wrong, but it seems people are blaming the economic crisis on Harper. Duh! Is he to blame for the problems in the EU, in the US, in Japan? This crisis is global. We happen to be positioned a little better than many nations to deal with it. Certainly Stephan Dion, who is practically swallowing his lips in rage and Jack Layton, Mr. Shiney on camera, have not a clue what to do about it. If any of these folks had any experience, then I wouldn't feel so strongly. But except for Gilles Duceppe, they have very little experience. The failing economy globally is a fact. Why are Canadians not thinking globally?
