I'm pro Canadian and American. If Canada ever becomes Socialist I'm heading to the US, I will never live in a Socialist/communist country.

I am a left leaning Conservative who neither loves, nor hates, the USA. I believe in independence of state in my business and that anyone breaking the laws shold be punished in such a way it fits the damage the crime has cost in both a financial and social manner.

You could get filthy rich suing governments and or people if laws were serious about damage to ones livelihood .

Perhaps I should have explained it clearly....Punishment means jail time and replacing damaged property. The thought of suiing never crossed my mind as no one should gain from crime...Especially the criminal.

I'm a Pro-Canadian living in CANADA.....
And I would prefer a choice like that before choosing the second place option:
"I am either strong Liberal or Conservative and Dislike US"
So I chose 'other'.

I am Canadian, but I don't feel comfortable calling myself pro-canadian, or pro-american.....so perhaps I am pro-North American.
I favor america's foriegn policy over Canada's. I favor america civil rights( ie right to bare arms) over Canada's(big government and big taxes).
I favor Canada's internal and social policies over america.
Federally, I like the concept of a liberal party that shifts it's political alignment with the ideals of Canadians. But as an Albertan, the liberal party has never relied on the west for support, hence they don't represent us as well as other parties do. Ideally, I'd like to see a party that relies on both east and west to govern this country, and that appears to be the conservative party.
Provincially, I beleive that the Alberta way works best, but when it comes to companies with a track record of treating their people harshly ie mining, railroad, I believe in a strong and active union supported by NDP representation.
I beleive in law abiding firearm owners outnumbering the criminals.
And, I believe in a universally funded medicare system where the politically connected and wealthy have to stand in the same shooty line ups that I have to stand in. I am really gonna miss them, if they ever stop complaining about my line ups.
yep, I voted "other"
Edit: I believe in law abiding firearm owners outnumbering the police, military, politicians, and criminals, all combined (as is the case sometimes - LOL)

Some people use to say that you can't squeeze oil from a stone.........but us redneck conservatives in Alberta figured that one out.

I'd describe myself as a slightly left of centre Liberal, living in Canada. I'm doggedly federalist, favouring a strong central government with a role in ensuring national standards and a strong international presence.
While I may often disagree with the policies of the current American administration, I have a strong love of America itself and what it stands for at its core. I was glad to be able to help show that respect somewhat when I helped organize Canadians supporting Americans affected by 9/11 after that horrible event.
