Personally I can't stand Ruby Dhalla-la-la-la. I can't quite put my figure out why but she jsut makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up very time she opens her mouth. I think it has something to do with the fact that she's tries to portray herself as being ever so squeaky clean despite the fact the skeletons keep falling out of her closest every few months.

This still hasn't made the CBC site. My point was that if this was some whitebread Tory guy the media would have this as the #1 topic. The silence from the CBC is deafening.

But as has been mentioned, pick your angle on this one, it has many.

I've seen a few issues such as this passed over by the CBC lately. No their not earth shattering news but I've seen them make time to cover lesser issues. The 20 minute specail on Iggy was very enlightening, they kept talking about how hard a worker he is and followed him around the convention trail but really they didn't cover any of his positions on any key issus nor did they even bother to ask him about it. It was just glossed over feel good 20 minute "lets brag Iggy up" piece.

It just goes to show that it depends which side of the political spectrum you are on denotes the level of media (TV) scrutiny you are under.

A liberal and left leaning media doesn't want to show liberal and left leaning MP's in a negative light. They will just be quiet and the story will fade away.

Kudos to the Star on this, I have noted a more balanced approach these days, just as the NP is printing more left-of-centre views too.

What is clear is that you'd rather dodge the issue than discuss it. No shock there.

I'm with Eyebrock on this one, if this was John Baird, for example, it would be the #1 on all news outlets in Canada...especially the CBC.
