Enough dogpiling, douchenozzles. OTI's been a good poster and a reliably sane Canadian conservative ever since I've been here. If he goes nuts and starts randomly quoting Ezra Levant then I'll worry but if he's only posting something that appeared on one of the national networks then it's legitimate.

But since the election came he's been a tad rabid Thanos.

Try this.

Understand that this is a forum about politics.

Topics about politics are posted in the appropriate sections.

Naturally, you're going to have partisan people from both sides and it's been like this since I've joined this forum. I joined this forum way back when because of the political back-and-forth I was reading.

It's not going to change regardless of how boring it may be to you or how many quips people throw into the topics. You have the option to not reply or not even read them.

Hooray! We agree. I think this is either 2 or 3 three times now.

You have to wonder what compels some people to enter a political discussion to tell people it's pointless to discuss politics. I understand apathy. Trying to make others apathetic though is only pathetic.

It's almost as if people get more interested in politics when elections come around. What a crazy idea.

Strangely enough, I don't see anybody here being convinced to vote for a particular party because of the ramblings (sorry... couldn't find a better word) of the political partisans. You have to look at your audience and I don't think there are very many here that would be swayed.

The other possibilities are...
...you get 2 opposing partisans and in that case, it's a war, not a discussion.
...you get 2 on the same side and in that case, it's like 2 sex addicts meeting in a bar. We all know how that will end. 8O

We are all interested in politics on this forum.

I get dis-interested when partisans from both sides suddenly decide it's good form to ram their message down my throat like some never ending political attack advert.

We have had two weeks of it now. It’s boring.

That's not even close to a debate. Wait, I feel the need to cut-and-paste something off the CPC/Lib/NDP web sites....

Fine, you find it boring. Or you say you do, but you're here reading it. I went for breakfast this morning, and the table beside me had two people furiously debating stats of hockey players. I found myself wondering what goes on in these people's lives that this inspires such emotion or something that really has no impact in the world whatsoever. Did I go over and ask them to shut up? No, that would just be rude.

Like they say EB if you don't like what your watching change the channel. Or,
you could maybe submit non-political related stories to CKA of your own that you feel others maybe interested in talking about.

But don't get all grand-pa on us, it is election time after all.

Sorry, but I've got to disagree.

OTI (since his sudden reappearance anyways), has pretty much been a one trick pony.

If he wants to be a party spokesman, like Ridenrain or Rev Blair used to be on here, fine. Just be prepared for the regulars here to call him on it.

Like I said in another thread, if these guys want respect from CKA regulars, they should be around all year long, not just popping up when an election is called.

Bodah, I'll step in when people attack others for not being as rabid as them.

I've seen all this shite before and I can watch from the sidelines but when you partisans attack others for not being partisan, well I'll push back.

Great debate. Glad to see Iggy collapse and push the voters further away. Harper stayed cool and collected for the most part, and Duceppe looked lost and confused. I was however, a little bit impressed with Mr. Layton. I have a wee bit of respect for the man now. It would be most interesting to see Layton and the Orange Peels become the opposition if the Tories get their majority, and the Libs get shellaqued even worse than last time.

I came onto this forum due to it's large political discussions. I'm sorry if I'm not interested in discussing everything with you guys all year, it's just not something I'm interested in. I check in and read the forum on a daily basis, even if I'm not commenting.

I've been on this forum for almost 6 years and have donated money to the forum as well.

This forum ALWAYS ramps up around election time and that's what the political sections, and those specifically named as, are used for. If you don't like what you're reading, move on.

I've never tried to hide the fact that I support the CPC nor am I posting in the hopes to earn respect from a bunch of strangers on the Internet.

OTI, you have posted 14 pages of stuff (looking at your own history on your profile) since March. A single page of posts from August 2010 to January 2011.

Boots called it well. Rev Blair of the CPC.
