Again he did pretty good with helping Ontario through a bad econoimic times and still maintaining allot of programs The Ontario Liberals are in good econiomic times and they are saying how we can't afford many healthcare services, go figure. I don't know if Bob Rae would be a better leader then Dion hard call I guess its too late now. But you gota admit Harper has to be pretty bad to be tide with Dion in the polls because Dion is..well...Dion haha.

The bold has to be one of the funniest things I've read here in some time. The man helped CAUSE Ontarios economic nightmare. I still say Bob Rae would be the best thing that could happen to the Conservatives.

Not true, Ontario would have had a economic recession no matter who was in power Liberal, Conservative or any. The economy doesn't change due to who is in power, but only when something big comes down the pipe from Queens park. Allot of the recession was caused by NAFTA going into full effect (caused by conservatives federally). Of course it hit Ontario the hardest due to a strong industrial sector, just unfortunate the Rae just got into power...kinda like the ad scam blowing up when Martin becomes leader of the Liberals.

Then Paul Martin and Chretein had nothing to do with a strong Canadian economy, thanks for clearing that up for our smug Liberal friends who think they did.

"Rae days" is just one thing that had an adverse effect on the economy, which is directly his responsibility. Your admiration for one of the worst Premiers in Ontarios history is commendable, but I prefer to pray that he never attains any power ever again!

No I don't admir Bob Rae I just don't think he was that bad, better then Dion but not Leader of the official opposition worthy. But I agree with you in hoping he never attains power for he is now a Liberal (maybe he always was). My personal opinion is Harris was worst but to be fair I'm a left-winger so of course I would think Harris is the worst. I would say Rae is second worst...so fare Dalton is closing in.

I behooves me to remind one and all, despite BOOB RAE's shortcomings, in all honesty, he genuinely was operating at a huge disadvantage.

One man does not a government make and Rae's talent pool was so shallow, he could went wading with dry feet.

Dion currently has much the same problem..........
