It was interesting to read JJ's interviews with all the BC Liberal leadership candidates. JJ being JJ asked a bunch of republican questions. All 5 of the candidates supported the Constitutional Monarchy.
I think it was a telling example of the widespread support. Or at least the lack of support for changing our country to a republic.
The question asked was "If Queen Elizabeth dies when you are premier, will you support Canada becoming a republic?"
Oath or not. BTW, when you retire does your oath retire with you?

Bound by an oath. That's why I support a non-Republican solution upon her death or abdication. We recognize the new Monarch and support the Commonwealth, but an elected GG becomes the head of state in Canada.
