The 'Pink Trail' to Canada

Image

Two guys approach the Canadian High Commission in Delhi with applications for immigration visas.

They claim to be partners and against the legal backdrop of India banning homosexuality, they are unable to lead a peaceful life together.

Canada it seems is the only country they can live a life as a homosexual couple.

They get their visa based on the claim but shortly after landing in Canada, it was soon revealed that they aren't really gays, much less a couple.

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Immigration abuse happens like this all the time, I personally would like to see stronger immigration laws, life time exclusions of law breakers as they have in the United States.

Coming to Canada as is visitor or immigrant is not a right, it's a privilege.

I hate to see my Citizenship as a Canadian being so devalued.

My citizenship is only worth $250,000 dollars, as that's all it takes to buy your way into Canada as an economic business investor to Canada.

LOL Brenda, you have someone on the inside do you?

I remember watching an expose on TV and they were interviewing Immigration Inspectors (they are suppose to round up the criminal element) and these guys were sitting behind their desk complaining how hard it is to track the Criminals that slip into Canada. No mention of them actually getting off their asses and hunting these people down it was one excuse after the other. The next day they hit the streets and started picking up old ladies who over stayed their visas or whatever. A big media circus that made them look stupid as well as lazy. It's all about the image and they have no sustanance.

It's about time we revamp the immigration laws and close the door a little. A lot of immigrants can't find work, live in poverty, have poor English skills, etc... what's the point of letting more in? Let's let people in with a strong grasp of English and/or French and who can contribute to our country. We need to also recognize foreign credentials and have a strong verification process.

And who created this criteria? THE LIBERALS

Not to worry Confused. Once we have the majority, I get this feeling that the immigration policy is going to change a whole lot.

There's a lot of slogans to the immigration program. The latest craze is that we don't accept foreign credentials. The Conference Board of Canada estimates there are some 500,000 foreign qualified professionals that can't work because of lack of accreditation. Only there are not 500,000 good jobs going unfilled. The whole discussion misses the fact there are lots of trained Canadians and generally there are not shortages. The discussion is that complete, thankyou Conference Board of Canada.

The Conservatives are being as pro-immigrant as they can be. I went to a meeting here in Toronto with Conservative MPs with respect to increasing the quota of parents and grand parents allowed in. Nice gig, eh. Canadian welfare, health benefits and old age home bunk for having an off spring that immigrated.

Sorry but the immigration criteria that SJ_24 says the liberals brought in was actually brought in by the Mulroney Government... get your old fucking head out of your rednecked ass SJ and do some research..
more immingrants landed on the shores in canoes when he was in power than ever before--- all you have to do to get in is be able to sell flowers on Yonge St. in TO------ and Mr Harper is about to open the flood gates again to win votes....go figure

WRONG!!!! It's to easy to get into Canada.

I could go out a marry wife #3 from Australia and have her citizenship 3 1/2 years from now for her.

Residency within 9 months. (not temp, full)

It's to easy in Canada.

Dude I was joking.

I know a couple of Canadian guys that married Asian women who put out and paid $15,000USD for Canadian papers. They live in Vancouver.

Now that is fucked.

btw, they are no longer my friends, I won't associate with that type of low life. That's just wrong and illegal.
