I don't think so.

Most Liberal friends I have say they could get a minority, but Dion has to go for a majority government to ever be achieved by the Liberal Party.

I want everyone's thoughts...

And he has even more trouble with a poll that came out that said 40% of Canadians are against dual-citizenship.

Hell, I think they couldn't even muster a minority government with him.

Dion is the ingredient necessary for a Tory majority.

don't think it really matters who the liberals leader is there just isn't really any interest from canadians in seeing another majority government anytime soon .

after the last one (chretien /martin ) , voters are skeptical of giving a party full power and are ok with the idea of a minority now.

As much as I don't like Even Steven, he's better than another Liberal Government. There is only so much Liberal bile one can swallow before the acid does permanent damage. Even the liberals don't like their leader.

It's good to bring it up every other week just to remind people what a doofus he is.

10 votes so far..none for the liberals...good...but there is just one little problem...harper is screwing up big-time and i dont consider it a wise policy counting on a victory only because your nearest opponent is a total cock-flop...harper does need to get his act together

This is a good thread. The question rather puts an edge on the Dion problem.

the liberals made the same mistake during the last elections , they never really though Harper was going to become prime minister and assumed they could just win re-election because they had won the previous elections so easily .

If the Liberals could achieve three straight majorities under Chretien, it isn't unfeasible for them to win a majority under Dion.

Yeah sadly Patrick_Ross is probably right..

Chretien (uhh....) got 3 majorities, so its probably not that hard for Dion.

It's the wrong question. Can the Liberals achieve majority with Dion as leader? You know what? If Harper keeps screwing up, they likely can.

Yay, bitter reality.
