Canadian Lukas Rossi has just been named the lead sing of supergroup Supernova!!!
Congrats Lukas, we've been rooting for you from the get go!

Supernova is a band formed by Tommy Lee(Motley Crue), Gilby Clark(Guns'n'Roses) and Jason Newsted(Metallica). They held a competition to find a fresh new lead singer for their new band Supernove on the show Rockstar, produced by Dave Navarro of Jane's Addiction and Red Hot Chilli Peppers fame.

Damn you!!!! I was just about to go downstairs and watch it... recorded on my Bell PVR. I purposely came to this site to kill some time because I didn't think there was a chance in hell that I would find out the results by "accident".
I was pretty sure it would come to him or Toby (as much as I didn't see him being a "fit") so I'm glad that he took it. I was cheerin for Delayna for the better part of the show until the last few weeks since she seemed to have an edge, and was a front-runner with Lukas but with Toby picking up some steam at the tail end of this show, I expected him to have a good chance.
Good for Lukas... he's a talented guy, and deserves a chance at the big time with these boys. I was hoping their tour would extend through Calgary, but it looks like I would have to fly to TO or Van in order to see the show. Not sure if I want to do that. I am planning to fly into Montreal for a few days to check out the Iron Maiden show in October, and that's going to cost me almost 2G after tixs, airfare and hotel. Not sure if I can justify it for Supernova. Iron Maiden on the other hand... no problem. Last time I saw them was in 1988 or so... and at least 4 times before that.
Thanks for ruining the surprise Ripcat. I've been looking forward to this all day. You suck.

I like Storm Large but I knew they weren't going to pick a girl. That's the second Canadian to win one of these. ![Drink up [B-o]](./images/smilies/drinkup.gif)

Sorry about that.
What the heck happened to Magni?? They didn't give any explanation for his 'absence' from the final four, although he does come out and perform on the guitar for the final Supernova song. ![huh? [huh]](./images/smilies/icon_scratch.gif)

I thought she was pretty sweet too. I thought she started out strong, but fell short during the last few weeks of her stay. I must say... her final performance of "Wish you were Here - Pink Floyd" was heartfelt and moving. One of my favorite songs of all time, and I was choked up just watching her perform. I have it on my PVR, and I'll be saving that.
Kudos to the Lukas though! Good old Canadian boy... rockin with the big boys.

Bell pvr NO, it's design, R&D and manufactured by Echostar. Only reason you have a "bell"pvr " is because the CRTC kicking out Dishnetwork years ago and a Liberal group launching Expressvu.
Nothing like paying for technology and calling it your own. LOL
Thanks Liberals you did it again. But I know different.

No worries...just bad timing. The funny thing is, that I had turned off all of my TV's and did everything I could have... with the exception of jumping on this forum to avoid a spoiler.
Thanks for editing the subject now... geez.
Oh well, that's what I get. Next time, I'll lock myself in a closet with earplugs and a blindfold.
As far as Magni... I will be watching it here soon, so I don't know what the deal is. You are referring to tonights show right? He did perform yesterday.

I was well aware that these units were manufactured by an American company - Echostar. I've known that for years when in a past career, I used to manage big box electronics stores.
I think you're getting a little carried away here with what you are saying Hwacker... I never claimed that this was Canadian technology... only stated that I had it recorded on a Bell PVR. I couldn't care less if the boxes are built by an American company, and I would have no reason to suggest that it comes from our side of the border.
Glad you know "different" though
Keep shining

Indeed. Very easy on the eyes, and had great stage presence.
I agree... I don't think we've seen the last of her. Delayna too.

Holy shit! That must be it!! The NSA must have tapped into my receiver and are now monitoring what I record, along with all my internet/email use as well as phone calls. GODDAMN BUSH!!!!@@@!@!@
That's the last straw... The silent black helicopters flying over my house at night was one thing... but monitoring what I record on my 18% American-owned-built-by-Bush-Bell PVR is another .

Yes indeed.... I was a big fan of hers from the beginning.
I must say though, I had a feeling right from the start when Lukas did a killer version of Billy Idol - Rebel Yell... that he'd be a front-runner, and possibly win it all.
