Well I never usually say I have a favorite band. I donÂ’t usually listen to music from this decade but I will make and exception for The Strokes. Anyone else listen to them?
PS: I know the term new is a relative term, but new as in came out in the last 15 years.

[B] Audioslave
I was a huge Metallica fan for years, but they seem to have lost touch with their latest release.
Audioslave's CD on the other hand sounds fresh and current. I always loved Chris Cornell's voice when he was with Soundgarden anyway.

For the heavier stuff I like to listen to Disturbed, Korn, and Linkin Park
For the not so heavy stuff I like Metallica, Staind, P.O.D.
For Canadian bands I like Finger Eleven, Nickleback, Three Days Grace, The Tea Party and Econoline Crush.

to me, new music means "came out within the last year or two". this is b/c they overplay so much music on the radio it becomes old very quickly. also, a little more objective reasoning for this: 2004 - 15years(from original post)=1989. on the radio stations here they play songs from the 80's during the classic nooner. sorry but that is not new.
anyway, my fav new bands right now are SOAD and Evanescence.

and also, if you look at the original post:
"Well I never usually say I have a favorite band. I donÂ’t usually listen to music from this decade but I will make and exception for The Strokes. Anyone else listen to them?
PS: I know the term new is a relative term, but new as in came out in the last 15 years."
i suppose this will also apply to bands so i suppose my statement before still stands. whatever.

ok well i like a lot of bands right now and i really support canadian bands but if i had to pic one band over all others at the moment..it wud have to be The Distillers. there is songthing bout the aussie lead singer Brody Dalle that i really love. shes has the coolest voice and i admire her for getting to the status that she is currently at. i saw them bout 2 weeks ago here in Toronto and they were amazing.....even better live than on cd and i think thats really important for a band.
