This guy seems to love attacking the fact that Japan didn't warn America that it was going to attack. But he neglects the fact that Japan attacked a military base, not a densely populated city. After that, they did not attack American soil again.
OMG are you serious? Philipine Islands... at that time a US protectorate. Thus US territory. Guam, Wake, Midway islands any of those ring a beal. All under US control when attacked by Japan. Both cities that the A-Bomb was droped on were Military factory complex citites.
Ever hear of Japan sending ballons over with time delayed bomb dropings? Those bombs hit both the US and Canada. Not our fault they were not affective in any way but to kill a family out on a picnick.
The number of lives lost from the bombs and residual deaths and illnesses do to radioactivity still has not equalled the lowest estimated numbeer of deaths if an Invasion of Japan had taken place. The estimate for allied deaths alone was over 1million. That does not include Japans soilders and civilians. So tell me how many lives were saved do to the droping of the A-bombs on two cities.
And dont forget that Japan had an army in China also so once Japan fell through invasion its most likely that those soilders would have continued on and even more lives lost.
The droping of the bombs ended a war far sonner and with fewer deaths then if an invasion of the main islands had taken place. A war that Japan started with the US, England, France, the Dutch, China and many small countries in the pacific area.
