This has gotta be a training film right? I mean, what happened to professionalism?

In my day when someone jacked you up they were in your face, ramrod straight, using their superior command of the english language to get their point across.

They weren't leaning against a bulkhead like a parapelgic hamster after a 3 day run, pointing their finger at you like a booger picking 6 year old or using one word over and over again hoping that it'd make you a paragon of military virtue and professionalism. ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

As far as the Jack-up and tears, look s like just another day in Basic from what I observed back in my day.

But What the Fuck is up with that instructor slouching against the wall and is he chewing on a mouthfull of tobaccy? WTF???

Further, I can't imagine how any fellow recruit or another instructor would be allowed to film that...this is definitely a case of SNAFU.

I've heard yellow cards mentioned on another site, for those doing basic in St. Jean. Did an NCO hand them out for screw ups or what? we were given push ups, fire picket, extra duties and fines...if that didn't work, you were recoursed or booted.

I’m sure she would be an asset in KAF.

Come on. Are we really being realistic in allowing this stuff? Hardly good preperation for for war.

Of course, and that's the Mega they're in. However, the shot of the recruit from behind where she seems pretty uncaring for being videoed while crying, or for the obvious bad attitude (they crush that still) smells like this is a put on (don't know why though). That and the fact that if brass in St Jean saw this, that PO would have some big explaining to do.

Yellow and Red cards were late 90s - essentially you held one up if the bad PO was yelling at you. It pre-dated the Hurt Feelings Report.

Never had an instructor lean up against anything when he was jacking up a recruit. Why is she even trying to explain herself? She should just reply with simple; yes [insert instructor's rank here], or no [insert instructor's rank here].

Naa. You can still yell at them. Can't swear though. They get all cow-eyed if you do that.
